Type locality: Cundinamarca, Municipio de Gutiérrez, Vereda el Carmen, Finca “El CArmen” vertiente Este de la Cordillera Oriental de Colombia, 4° 15’ N, 74° 01’ W, 2350 m elevation.  
TypesHolotype: IAvH 3213, adult female (given as IND R 3213, Unidad de Investigación Federico Medem UNIFEM/INDERENA, Bogotá); other specimens: IAvH, ICN 
CommentSpecies groups: Dactyloa heteroderma species group (fide NICHOLSON et al. 2012). 
EtymologyNamed after the Instituto Nacional de los Recursos Naturales Renovables y del Ambiente (INDERENA).
