Diagnosis | DESCRIPTION: Size moderate (SVL in males to 57 mm, in females to 57 mm); 5-7 rows of loreals; scales between supraorbitals 0; 1-2 scales between interparietal and supraorbital semicircles; 4-7 postrostrals; 4 postmentals; suboculars in broad contact with supralabials; dorsals small, juxtaposed, gradually diminishing from midline; lateral scales granular; ventrals imbricate, smooth; supradigital scales multicarinate; tail compressed, in male with very high caudal fin supported by "rays." Dorsum very pale gray with a distinct, dusky interocular bar; a distinct white line from shoulder to groin; lower sides and lower face white or whitish; venter yellow; dewlap yellow to orange (Schwartz & Henderson 1991: 303). |
