Etymology | Named after Indonesian Wayang Kulit (usually called shadow puppetry in English), and its character Kumba-karna, brother of the king Ravana in the Hindu epic Ramayana, usually depicted as having a particularly large laterally compressed nose, reminiscent of the rostral appendage of A. kumbakarna. |
