Types | Holotype: CEPB (formerly UHESM) 14414, adult female, from Minaçu Goias. The remainder specimens were considered paratypes (Appendix I). |
Diagnosis | Diagnosis: The most similar species is A. nigroterminata from that differs by head elongated and the same diameter of the neck (contra head larger than neck), pillum uniformly blackish brown (contra pillum with many brown dots spurring, mainly in parietals), cream supralabial blotch rectangular triangle like (contra equilateral triangle), last subcaudal scales black (contra subcaudals and terminal white ventrally), and ventral and subcaudal scales in high number, 222-244 and 40-46 (contra 207-235 and 26-28). From the other species of the genus Apostolepis with five striped dorsal coloration, mainly by the peculiar head shape (long and angular).
