DiagnosisDiagnosis: Aurita is unique in the genus Aprasia in possessing an external auditory meatus (Fig. 19). (Kluge 1974)

CommentLimb morphology: Limbless.

Distribution: not in NSW (fide Swan et al. 2017, Field Guide NSW). 
EtymologyNamed after Latin auris = ear; apparently named after the external ear-opening that’s present but almost entirely covered by a notched scale (still difficult to see in most images).
