Diagnosis	Diagnosis: Aurita is unique in the genus Aprasia in possessing an external auditory meatus (Fig. 19). (Kluge 1974) Additional details (1693 characters) are available for collaborators and contributors. Please contact us for details.
Comment	Limb morphology: Limbless. Distribution: not in NSW (fide Swan et al. 2017, Field Guide NSW).
Etymology	Named after Latin auris = ear; apparently named after the external ear-opening that’s present but almost entirely covered by a notched scale (still difficult to see in most images).
