A colubroid genus with diacranterian dentition, 13 15 maxillary teeth followed, after a diastema, by 3 4 enlarged, non-grooved teeth; absence of posterior hypapophyses; nasal shield divided with an interior flap or valve; eye of moderate size with round pupil; dorsal scales smooth, lacking apical pits, arranged long- itudinally in 19 rows at midbody, reducing to 15 posteriorly; cloacal shield divided.
