Diagnosis | Diagnosis: Aristelliger nelsoni may be distinguished from A. p. praesignis by its larger size, shorter snout, and small, flattened and generally homogeneous dorsal granules. The dorsal pattern is often less pronounced than in the nominate subspecies (BAUER & RUSSEL 1993).
