Type locality: Altiplanicie Sur Terekyurén, Base de Los Testigos, Estado Bolívar, Venezuela (05° 52’ N, 62°03’ W), 1800 m elevation.

DiagnosisArthrosaura testigensis differs from A. synaptolepis in having prefrontals; from A. reticulata , A. tyleri and A. versteegi in having four supraoculars, and from A. kockii in having the loreal separated from the supralabials, the loreal region with smooth scales, 3 pairs of genials and 8 preanal plates. 
CommentAbundance: only known from its original description (Meiri et al. 2017).
