Type locality: Monserrate Island, Baja California.

DiagnosisDiagnosis (n=17): The Monserrate Island race-runner differs from all of the other members of the hyperythrus group in the absence of longitudinal dorsal stripes and in the fading or loss of the lateral stripes. (Burt 1931)
