leleupi: Zaire = Democratic Republic of the Congo (Kundelungu Mountains, Katanga); Type locality: "Station d'etudes des l'IRSAC sur le massif des Kundelungu (1,750 m.), Champ de termitieres" [= Katanga Prov., SE Democratic Republic of the Congo]. Emended to Station d'etudes de la Seram, plateau des Kundelungu, Haut Katanga (fide Laurent 1956: 310).

orientalis: Zaire (Katanga), Zambia (Abercorn). Type locality: “Sandoa (Lualaba)”

EtymologyPresumably named after the type locality, the Congo.

A. c. leleupi was named after the collector of the types, N. Leleup.

A. c. orientalis was named after the Latin orientalis (eastern), in reference to the distribution.
