Type locality: Campamento MOP., 19 km de Bocono en la via Bocono-Trujilo, Estodao Trujilo, Venezuela.

TypesHolotype: MCNC 5629, a 415 mm female (E. Gonzáles Sponga, 20 Aug. 1971).
Paratypes. Eight specimens: MCNC 5630, 5632 and ULA‐ BG 3791 (formerly MCNC 5631) and five additional individuals housed in the private collection of the M.A. Gonzaléz‐Sponga (MAGS 364, 365, 367, 368 and 374), with same data as the holotype. As the González‐Sponga arachnid’s collection (after his death in 2009) was transferred to the Museo del Instituto de Zoología Agrícola of the Universidad Central de Venezuela (see Huber and Villareal, 2020), we assume that these paratypes of Atractus emigdioi are also currently housed in such collection.
