Type locality: under a rock, being a place intervened with remnants of a semicadufolious forest and the incorporation of grassland for livestock (Anthromes), next to the road that goes from Alto Tomón to Monte Carmelo, 9°12′42.32′′ N and 70°44′0.16′′O, 1890 m, Trujillo state, Venezuela  
Reproduction 
TypesHolotype Adult female, MZUC 47720 (field No LFE237). Obtained by Luis Felipe Esqueda and Héctor García, at 12:12 p.m. on 21 June 2021.
Paratypes (type locality) Five adult males, MZUC 47718–19 (field No LFE 238–239), MZUC 47725 (field No LFE 410), MZUC 47729 (field No LFE 413), and MZUC 47730 (field No LFE 417), and subadult male MZUC 477722 (field No LFE 241); four adult females, MZUC 47724 (field No LFE 409), MZUC 47727 (field No LFE 414), MZUC 477128 (field No LFE 412), and MZUC 47731 (field No LFE 418); three juveniles, MZUC 47721 (field No LFE 240), MZUC 47723 (field No LFE 242, probably female), and MZUC 47726 (field No 411).
Paratypes: One adult male, MZUC 47732 (field No LFE 257), collected under rocks piled next to a cultivation area in the La Quebrada sector, 9°7′42.34′′N and 70°36′29.62′′W, 1864 m altitude, Trujillo state, Venezuela. Obtained by Santos Bazó and Luis Felipe Esqueda on 22 June 2021 at 12:00 p.m.; three juveniles, MZUC 47733 (field No LFE 259) and MZUC 47734 (field No LFE 436), collected under some rocks on the edge of the road that leads from La Quebrada to Montero, 9°7′29.52′′N and 70°36′46.26′′W, 2014 m altitude, Trujillo state, Venezuela. Obtained by Luis Felipe and Santos Bazó 21 June 2021 at 10:25 p.m. and MZUC 47735 (field No LFE 404), collected under a rock on the edge of the road that leads from La Montañita to Tuñame, 9°3′42.05′′N and 70°39′12.43′′W, 2404 m altitude, Trujillo state, Venezuela. Obtained by Luis Felipe Esqueda and Santos Bazó 2 October 2021 at 11:30 a.m.

Comment 
EtymologyNamed after Greek “nemos,” = forest or wood with pasture for cattle, and ophis = “snake”, for the habitat, a semicaducifolious forest.
