Type locality: Mexico. Restricted to Hacienda de la Gaviá, México (state) by SMITH & TAYLOR 1950.

DiagnosisDiagnosis: A large (to 125 mm SVL) of the genus Barisia. Nasals in contact rostral. Two loreals, no canthals. Dorsal scales in 14 longitudinal rows and 28-30 transve rows. Ventral scales in 14 longitudinal rows (McCoy & Fox 1992).
