Types	Holotype: MNHN-RA 1963.1015 (by original designation). Paratype: ISCR 339.009 (‘‘Taroudannt, vallée de l’oued Souss’’)
Diagnosis	Diagnosis: “ Blanus cinereus possédant des pores préanaux disposés le plus souvent en une série transversale continue, au nombre de 8 ou plus. Plaques anales sans contact direct ave le dernier verticille de plaques troncales. Etymology	Named after M. Mettetal, former head of the Laboratory of Animal Biology, Faculty of Sciences of Morocco.
