Type locality: 40 km southwest of Cebu City, Cebu Island.

DiagnosisDiagnosis: A small, slender Brachymeles, snout-vent length 55.0 to 74.0 mm, for 12 mature specimens: limbs much reduced, length of hind limb about 4 to 5 percent of snout-vent length: frontoparietals usually in contact, separating frontal from interparietals: no postnasal: five supraoculars [BROWN & RABOR 1967: 528]
 
CommentLimb morphology: Species with minute limbs with 0–3 digits.

Habitat: semifossorial and typically found in dry, rotting material inside or underneath decaying logs or in loose soil, forest floor detritus, and leaf litter of lowland forest. 
EtymologyNamed after the type locality.
