Diagnosis | Diagnosis: A Brookesia with a straight dorsal ridge (keel) on the body; an incomplete series of six, dorsolateral pointed tubercles on the anterior region of the body; no pelvic shield; and no pointed tubercles on the chin. Only two other species, Brookesia superciliaris and B. therezieni have a straight dorsal ridge on the body. Brookesia superciliaris and therezieni have a complete series of 10-11 dorsolateral pointed tubercles on the body and pointed tubercles on the chin.
