Etymology | “This species’ name is from the language of an Aboriginal tribe that lived in the Cape Flattery region; “dogare” means “in sandy country” (Roth, 1901, p. 13)” (Covacevich & Ingram, 1975). (G. Shea, pers. comm., 9 Feb 2024) |
