Distribution	Papua New Guinea (Central Province from Kapakapa westward to Angabunga River area, elevation 0-1500 m). Type locality: “al Monte Epa nel S.E. Nuova Guinea, poco lonanto dall’ Isola Yule”.

Comment	Synonymy after ZUG 2004.
Etymology	Named probably after the Latin adjective “luctuosus” = sorrowful or mournful, presumably referring to the black “hood” of adults.
