Comment | Habitat: A subterranean species, unearthed during seasonal rains. Cited after the Zoological Record 1876: 9, which also gives a short description of the new genus Allodactylus, but claims the source to be “Japan”. Distribution: not in Libya fide Bauer et al. 2017. Type locality unknown (Japan, in error, fide Lataste, 1876). |
Etymology | Named after Dr. Fernand Delisle (1836-1911), French physician and anthropologist who worked at the Museum National d'Histoire Naturelle, Paris. |
