mertensi: Zaire; Type locality: Muneshele (1400 m elevation), Terr. de Fizi, Kivu, Zaire.

vinckei: Zaire; Terra typica: Station d'etude des Kundelungu (1750 m elevation), Katanga, Zaire.

Diagnosis 
CommentSynonymy: LOVERIDGE 1957 and HILLENIUS 1959 synonymized all subspecies with C. anchietae, a position that was followed by KLAVER & BÖHME 1997. 
EtymologyNamed after José de Anchieta (9 Oct 1832 -14 Sep 1897), Portugese explorer of Africa.
