Type locality: município de Cruz Machado (26° 01’ S, 51° 20’ W, elevation 940 m), estado de Paraná, Brazil.

DiagnosisDiagnosis: This form can be distinguished from other members of the genus by a combination of nineteen dorsal scale rows, fifty-six or fewer subcaudals, a dark mid-dorsal line that is no more than three scale rows wide, and immaculate supralabials and ventrals (Quijada-Mascarenas & Wuster 2010) 
CommentClelia hussami can be diagnosed by having 19 midbody dorsal rows, 7 supralabials and 8 infralabials, 204-225 ventrals, 47-56 paired subcaudals, ground coloration light brown with a fine dark reticulum in adults, presence of a narrow dark vertebral line and clear nuchal collar more evident in juveniles, and a creamly light immaculate venter (after MORATO et al. 2003).
