Type locality: Labuan Badjan, Pulau Simeulue (02° 35’N; 96° 05’E), Aceh Propinsi, Republic of Indonesia

DiagnosisDiagnosis: A small species of Cnemaspis (SVL to 30.5 mm), diagnosable from conspecific species in showing the following combination of characters: two semicircular supranasals that are separated by two scales, a large anterior one that contacts rostral and a small posterior one; four postnasals bound nasal; posteriorly, each postmental is bounded by four smooth, rounded and juxtaposed scales; no paravertebral rows of tubercles on dorsum; pectoral and abdominal scales distinctly elongated and imbricate, bearing a single keel; spinous processes on lateral surface of body; tail segmented, with enlarged flattened scales forming whorls; median subcaudals enlarged, unicarinate; supralabials (to midorbit position) 6-7; infralabials 7-8; lamellae under toe IV 14; and adult males lack preanal and femoral pores as well as a preanal depression. 
CommentAbundance: only known from its original description (Meiri et al. 2017). This is one of the species called 'lost' and 'rediscovered' by Lindken et al. 2024. 
EtymologyNamed after Dutch businessman-amateur zoologist, Edward Richard Jacobson (1870–1944), collector of the type series.
