DiagnosisDiagnosis: “A small brown-tailed member of the colletti group with 12 pale stripes on a dark ground. Further distinguishable from C. calurus by absence of enlarged plantars and of black markings under toes and tail.” (Storr 1975: 240).

CommentCtenotus colletti nasutus STORR 1969 and Ctenotus colletti rufescens STORR 1979 have been raised to species status by STORR 1990.

Abundance: quite common, with more than 400 specimens collected (Pianka 2011)

Limb morphology: 5 digits, 5 toes (Singhal et al. 2018, Cogger 2014) 
EtymologyNamed after Dr. Robert Collett (1842-1913), a Norwegian zoologist and ichthyologist who worked at Christiania (Oslo) Museum (1871-1913) and was Professor of Zoology at the university from 1884.
