DiagnosisDiagnosis: A member of the taeniolatus group with 11 (regionally 12) pale lines and stripes, and nasals and prefrontals separated (Storr 1974: 90).

EtymologyFrom the Greek impar (odd, unequal) in reference to the fusion of the pale dorsal stripes to form a single pale vertebral stripe. (G. Shea, pers. comm., 9 Feb 2024)
