Types | Holotype. MHNG 1557.15 (Figs. 31 and 32), un-sexed juvenile, SCL 81 mm, collected from Jorhat dis- trict, Gela Bil River (= Gelabill River = Bhogdoi River), Assam, India in 1969 by G. Pilleri (mentioned as “Emys trijuga?” in Pilleri, 1970), donated to MHNG in 1973. |

Comment | Types: MHNH-RA-0.7932 with the stated locality “Inde” is not from India, as believed by Hoser (2021), who clearly did not examine the specimen, but clearly represents a Cuora amboinensis amboinensis from Indonesia (“Indes oritentales” in French) and as such is mislabeled (Blanck et al. 2023).
