Lygosoma melanops STIRLING & ZIETZ 1893 and Lygosoma (Homolepida) branchiale elongatum WERNER 1910 have been synonymized with Cyclodomorphus branchialis by COGGER 1983 (who used the name Tiliqua branchialis).
