| Diagnosis | Diagnosis: The following combination of characters distinguishes C. papeda sp. nov. from all other congeners: adult males reaching 62.9 mm SVL and females 84.0 mm SVL; dorsal tubercles present on brachium, antebrachium, and along the ventrolateral fold; 14–17 irregular dorsal tubercle rows at midbody; 27–34 paravertebral tubercles per series; 45–54 ventral scale rows across belly; deep precloacal groove with 5 pores in males; enlarged femoral and precloacal scales arranged in a continuous series; no femoral pores; 21–23 lamellae under fourth toes; and subequal median subcaudal scales not transversely enlarged.
