TypesLectotype: GNM 2862, a female (Naturhistoriska Museet Göteborg), from Artvin (photographed in Darevsky & Eiselt 1980; Abb. 3 Fig. 3, nr. 7) (Arribas et al. 2018). 
Diagnosis 
CommentSynonymy partly after KHALIKOV & ANANJEVA (pers. comm.)

Subspecies: Darevskia parvula adjarica (DAREVSKY & EISELT 1980) has been elevated to full species status. 
EtymologyNamed after Latin “parvulus, -a, -um” = very small.
