Diagnosis 
CommentDistribution: reports from Gansu, Shenxi (Shaanxi), Shanxi and possibly Qinghai are misidentifications of D. micangshanense (Wang et al. 2019). Want et al.restricted D. flaviceps to the Dadu River area, so that the species does not occur in Tibet or Yunnan anymore. 
EtymologyNamed after Latin flavus = yellow and “ceps” = head, although the head is not really yellow but has white and yellowish speckles.
