Diagnosis
Comment	Raised to full species status by THOMAS & HEDGES 1998. Hybridization: Diploglossus nigropunctatus intergrades with D. delasagra in at least northern Camagüey Province.
Etymology	Named after Latin nigro, black, dark, and Latin punctum = dot, spot.
