Hybridization: Diploglossus nigropunctatus intergrades with D. delasagra in at least northern Camagüey Province. 
EtymologyNamed after Ramón de la Sagra (1801-1871), a Spanish economist and botanist who lived and worked in Cuba and died in Switzerland.
