Diagnosis 
CommentAbundance: only known from the type specimen, collected in 1972 (Meiri et al. 2017). 
EtymologyFrom the Latin verb convergo (to converge) plus the incipient suffix -ens, with reference to the keels of the dorsal scales converging on the midline. (G. Shea, pers. comm., 9 Feb 2024)
