DiagnosisDiagnosis: CADLE 2005: 82. 
CommentDipsas ellipsifera has been removed from the synonymy of D. elegans and relegated to subspecies status of D. oreas (fide Orcés & Almendáriz 1987).

Behavior: Dipsas ellipsifera is nocturnal.

Synonymy mostly after CADLE 2005.

Habitat: fully arboreal (Harrington et al. 2018).
