CommentDistribution: possibly in Bhutan (Lenz 2012). The North-east Indian State of Assam in now divided into seven states. See map in Manthey 2010: 109. Because of the similarity between D. norvillii and D. blanfordi, the single report from Myanmar (Musters 1983) is likely D. blanfordi, not norvillii.

Synonymy: likely to be a synonym of D. blanfordi. There are no diagnostic morphological characters that distinguish the two species (J. McGuire, pers. comm., 26 June 2019).
