Diagnosis | Diagnosis: A subspecies reaching a snout-vent length of 71 m m; supralabials 6-9; tympanum usually covered with smooth skin; lateral pouch with slightly enlarged scales; dorsals 110-135; six or seven ribs in patagium; lateral parts of nuchal region in males with light spots (as lineatus modiglianii, Musters 1983: 45). Comment | See also Draco lineatus. Max. SVL 67 mm. D. modigliani differs from all members of the D. lineatus group in having a strong statistical mode of six ribs supporting the patagium (as opposed to five), a character state that it shares with the D. volans group (MCGUIRE et al. 2007). |
