DiagnosisDiagnosis: Draco rhytisma can be distinguished from all other members of the D. lineatus group by the following combination of characteristics: (1) Dorsal coloration of males vivid lime green, (2) dorsal patagial coloration of males green with scattered white spots and one to three large more or less centrally located black blotches, (3) male dewlap short and rounded distally, (4) dewlap in males green basally, pale yellow distally, (5) males and females with large yellow spots on a green field on the side of the neck and base of dewlap, (6) absence of a melanic interorbital spot in males, (7) absence of a nuchal spot in males, (8) absence of a postnuchal spot in males, (9) absence of white pigments on the nape of both sexes both sexes, (10) absence of melanic ‘eye spots’ (dark spots with associated white or pale pigments) on the supraorbital semicircles of males, (11) presence of melanic ‘eye spots’ (dark spots with associated white or pale pigments) on the supraorbital semicircles of females, (12) presence of a parietal lens, and (13) tympana covered by scales (from MCGUIRE et al. 2007).

Comment 
EtymologyNamed after Greek rhytisma = "patch, spot", in reference to the distinct black spot at the front edge of the patagium in males.
