Types 
DiagnosisDiagnosis: A subspecies reaching a snout-vent length of 93 m m; large spinelike tubercles innuchal region; dorsals 84-129, unequal, keeled, with arow of enlarged, keeled scales along each side of the vertebral line; chin inmales light with more or less dense, dark spots, i n females light, sometimes with few spots (as volans timoriensis, Musters 1983: 91).

CommentTypes: Musters 1983 does not list any types for this species (although he does list a number of specimens examined).
