Type locality: Usina Hidroelétrica Luiz Gonzaga, no Rio São Francisco, município de Rodelas, Bahia, Brazil (between 9° 6’ S, 38° 20’ W and 8° 51’ S, 38° 45’ W), elevation 280 m.

Comment 
EtymologyNamed after Silvia Alma Renata Wilma Lemos Romano-Hoge, a herpetologist and former research scientist at the Herpetology Laboratory, Instituto Butantan, Sao Paulo, Brazil. She is the widow of Dr. Alphonse Richard Hoge, who was Director of the Instituto Butantan.
