Comment	The author is sometimes spelled “Tschernov” or “Tchernov”. The year has also been given as 1949. Similar species: Has been confused with E. coronella. Specimens from Kerman province, Iran, previously assigned to E. medus, have been described as E. kermanensis. Distribution: For a map see Sindaco et al. 2013.
