Diagnosis | Diagnosis (n=5): An Eirenis characterized by: relatively large size (total length 40-55 cm); 15 dorsals around midbody; frenal scute touching second supralabial; preocular undivided; 2 or 1 gular(s) touching anterior inframaxillaries; 8 infralabials; high ventral scale counts (males 169-178), low subcaudal counts (males 54-56); pileus and neck without large spots or transverse dark bands; first quarter of dorsum spotless or with small spots anteriorly fusing into vague transverse bars and/or a longitudinal short occipital stripe.
