Type locality: 25 km W Viransehir (Prov. Urfa, Turkey), ca. 700 m elevation  
TypesHolotype: CAS 105438. Paratypes: ZFMK 27119, SMF. ZSM. SZE and CAS

Etymologynamed after Josef Eiselt (3 May 1912 – 25 July 2001), Austrian herpetologist.
