Etymology | Named for the ship La Physicienne, a replacement ship of the Uranie expedition, which took the expedition home to France after the Uranie was wrecked in the Falkland Islands. The type of the species was collected by Quoy & Gaimard, the naturalists aboard the Uranie. |
