Etymology | Dunn doesn’t give an etymology but the species is likely named after its similarity to E. lessonii (= E. cyanura) and E. kordoana. Leiolopisma kadarsani was named after Sampurno Kadarsan (1929–2010), director of the Bogor Zoology Museum (Indonesia), in 1962 together with I.S. Darevsky he participated in the expedition to Lesser Sundas Archipelago. Leiolopisma kadarsani padariensis and L. k. rintjana were named after their type localities. |
