Type locality: Corrientes, Argentina.

DiagnosisDiagnosis: Leptotyphlops de cuerpo alargado, esbelto, con patrón de estrías color marrón, netas y espaciadas, atenuadas en la faz ventral: cromatismo que lo distingue prácticamente de weyrauchi, densamente pigmentado, con el cual evidencia grandes afinidades, pudiendo aquel hasta constituir una de sus formas cromáticas (Laurent 1984c). Se reconoce de albipuncta y striatula por un mayor número de dorsales y subcaudales, además que por detalles de coloración. (Cei 1993)

CommentSynonymy: previously considered as a synonym of E. albipuncta but more recent authors consider it as valid species.
