CommentSynonymy: previously considered as a synonym of E. albipuncta but more recent authors consider it as valid species. 
EtymologyNamed after Dr. Wolfgang Weyrauch of the Miguel Lillo Institute in Tucumán, Argentina, who sent the type to Orejas-Miranda.
