Diagnosis 
CommentSynonymy partly after KHALIKOV & ANANJEVA (pers. comm.)

Reports of this species from Kyrgyzstan may be E. kokshaaliensis. 
EtymologyNamed after Eugen A. Buchner, a Russian zoologist of German descent who specialized in mammals and birds.
