Type locality: Kyrgyzstan, Settlement Sary-Jaz, ravine Terekty [= Sary-Dzhaz, Terekti Ravine]

TypesHolotype: IBKB R 000580 (probably; given as Museum of the Institute of Biology, National Academy of Sciences, Bishkek), adult male, leg.: V.K. Eremchenko, 11 July 1986 (Eremchenko, Panfilov, 1999) 
Diagnosis 
CommentSynonymy: Populations of this species were previously referred to E. buechneri.

Authorship: The first author is sometimes cited as YERIOMCHENKO, EREMCHENKO, or JERJOMTSCHENKO. We use the spelling “EREMCHENKO” to consolidate these spelling variants. 
EtymologyNamed after Kakshaal Too, the largest mountain range of Tian Shan where the species occurs.
