Type locality: Chimantá Tepui, Estado Bolivar, Venezuela, elevation 1900 m.

TypesHolotype: FMNH 74038, a 630 mm male (J.A. Steyermark and J. Wurdack, 12 Feb. 1955).

CommentLiophis (cobella) trebbaui, previously in the synonymy of L. ingeri, has been revalidated to full species status by DONNELLY & MYERS 1991.
