Comment | Type species: Coluber conspicillatus BOIE 1826 is the type species of the genus Euprepiophis FITZINGER 1843: 26. Synonymy: Kaiser et al. 2013 considered the generic name Sinoelaphe Hoser 2012 invalid and rejected its use instead of Euprepiohis. |
Etymology | Named after the black markings on the head of the young (conspicillata, Latin for a pair of spectacles). |
